She probably had one of her many eyes on you, Nigel, so I hope you kept up a smiling and non-threatening visage.

Funnily enough I tried to take a piture of my pet spider Bert yesterday: but he was just as anti-social as this one. Nice pic none the less

Looks aren't everything! I'm alway glad to see the back of spiders, in any case smile
good capture and great macro, dont like the content though, hate spiders
Nigel Clack: Me too!!
Why is it the nice looking spiders live in the garden and the great ugly things want to come into the house?
Nigel Clack: Nice looking spiders??
Great shot, Nigel! This gal looks almost identical to the ones we have in our garden. I wonder if she has any relatives living in Canada.
His brother was sitting above my head when I woke up this morning. I am not that good with a camera in the morning though. Lovely shot!!

I am sorry for not commenting a lot lately, but I have been busy searching for another house and other personal stuff.
Nigel Clack: Good luck with the house hunting.

Those creepy little guys!
I have a shot of one of them too..they seem to be here alot lately!

Love the angle though...With my 18-200mm lens this will never work...I tried...and almost got myself caught in his web!

very nice, Nigel
Nigel Clack: Yeah loads around, just like the amount of wasps here.

Nigel Clack: Me too!
Pretty scary really Nigel.
lol! I was trying to photograph this exact kind of spider yesterday. He, or she, also kept presenting me with her rear. I gave up in the end, but you managed to get a really good detailed capture! (:o)

Great macro Nigel
Fine macro shot, Nigel.
I tend to agree with Bill, the photogenic spiders never seem to come indoors.

Unusual to see a rear view of a spider - do you think it was trying to tell you something?
Good spider shot, difficult not to end up in a web at the moment and some of these critters are big smile
