This can happen, that you will have to learn to shoot macro-less You are still doing OK.

PS. the bud sticking out to the right suggests it is indeed a dandelion. Maybe they come in different sizes.

It looks like a dandelion to me, Nigel, but at 6 inches, that's HUGE. I love the softness of this image.

I think it is a plant called "Jack Go To Bed At Noon" Nig: it is so named because it closes up at mid day

The toning is nice on this shot Nigel..Not sure what it is though.
