these are gorgeous nigel, i love the natural light on them...in my mind the only way to take portrait pictures smile
Nigel Clack: I agree, but I used a diffused fill in flash which had some -ve flash compensation added to lift the shadows caused by the trees we were under. Thankssmile

I LOVE the way you have presented these on the white page, Nigel. Well done.
The left portrait is great, focus is spot on (on the closest eye), DOF and lighting are very good.
The right one is good except it doesn't look sharp. The right eye is sharper but the rest seems unsharp.

Lovely childrens portrait, and great light. The rough-edged frames isn't my cup of tea, but doesn't ruin the overall impression smile
