photoblog image Uh oh

Uh oh

This is at one of two sandy beaches in Madeira, imported from Morocco. But I wasn't interested in the sand, I wanted to stay here for hours, instead I got this shot and then it was back to the bus, don't you just hate being a tourist sometimes!

I have to point out that yesterdays shot was actually down to my missus taking the shot, and then suggesting I take one too... So she had a colourful halo before me :(

Great timing, Nigel, just at the moment of shock. It's funny, you always underestimate the strength of the wave.

Hi Nig,have you worked on this, or is it as taken? Looks like great fun is being had by the people in this super sea shot.A bit better than the pier at the hot walls m8.
Nigel Clack: Pretty much as taken, increased the contrast a tadge. Yeah it's a bit tame at the hot walls...

what a great moment you've captured smile and it's not just the splashing waves that makes it, the perspective is great, the clouds beautiful etc..
nice one Nig. The wide angle works really well here.

This is phenomenal, a really great photograph Nigel. What a moment to capture and I like the way the white of the surf echoes the clouds.

The wide-angle view gives this an added delight, Nigel! And yes, sometimes I HATE being a tourist...but it's still better than nothing!
Fantastic shot Nigel!
Ciao.
Sometimes it's difficult to avoid being a tourist Nigel! But you were there long enough to take a great shot.

Only ever went to Madeira once and 1 loved it, especially on the NW coast. I love the stoic look of the girl on the right.. about to get soaked but doesn't care.
Very refreshing and wet...but good fun..except for the girl at the rear. Well taken Nigel
